Assalamualaikum..
May Allah grant us opportunity to work for Him!
When I was in matriks, I still remembered my Chinese friends used to play this kind of game/sport ...
They used to play in the evening..Some of them were practicing flute or the traditional Chinese one..~
and the MALAYSSSS was doing......ZzZzZzZzZzzzzzzzzzzzzz....sleep all day long~
but I wasn't one of them eh...I love to cycle, jog, walk, feed the fish in KMPh's pond....Ya Allah,Best sgt!!
Not my intention to give a bad perception to Malay, NOT ALL MALAY like that...ramai yang hebat2!!^_^
Back to the game~
At that time,I wasn't sure or entirely do not have idea at all what was it called...~
I supposed asked them what was it....but,somehow..I'm not really friendly with them....hmmm, no exact reason~hahaha
To be honest, I was eager to know "what was that?"
For the 1st time I saw they're playing DIABOLO, I was thinking that the 'thing' must be made from a heavy material, how come it can be tossed up in the air??? And how the 'thing' actually works?
Then, I googled for it, then it was actually a spool, and a string tied to two sticks which are held in either hand.
The string is used to whirl and toss the spool in various different ways known as moves.
As far as I concerned, in Chinese History...in what Dynasty, not really sure..the spool was made by wood.
Might be a bit heavy compared to nowadays which is made from plastics~^_^

Diabolos evolved from the Chinese yo-yo
Chinese yo-yos have a long thin axle, with disc-shaped wheels.
While the Western diabolo is more cone-shaped.
The diabolo also comes in different colors, sizes, and weights.
The term "diabolo" was taken from French engineer Gustave Phillippart, who developed the modern diabolo in the early twentieth century and derived the name from the Greek dia bolo, roughly meaning 'across throw'.
The Greek word "diabolos" means "the liar" or "the one that commits perjury", from the verb "diaballo", which means "to throw in", "to generate confusion", "to divide", or "to make someone fall". Later the word "diabolos" was used by Christian writers as "the liar that speaks against God". From this meaning come many modern languages' words for "devil" (French: diable, Italian: diavolo, Spanish: diablo, Portuguese: diabo, German: Teufel, Polish: diabeล).
